Brian Cunningham

C&I Development Manager

Brian Cunningham is Red Rocket’s C&I Development Manager, who joined our company in 2018. In his role, he is responsible for helping grow our business initiatives by securing opportunities with private power offtakers through the negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements.

Brian, an Irish national and now a permanent South African resident, has extensive experience managing renewable energy projects. Having previously served as our Wind & Hydro Development Manager, he has several successful projects under his belt, affirming his passion for securing and delivering energy on to the grid.

He previously led wind engineering teams in South Africa, with his core roles as an Owner’s Engineer, Lenders Technical Adviser and working with EPC contractors.

Brian holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management. He has also completed a qualification in Managing New Power Markets and Regulation in Africa.
