Jean Wessels

Finance Director

Jean Wessels is our purpose-driven Finance Director who oversees the execution of the financial aspects of our business in the Red Rocket Group, including accounting operations, tax compliance, tax planning and financial reporting. She is also responsible for the design and implementation of sound financial and cost controls within the Group.

Jean is a registered Chartered Accountant with nearly two decades of experience. She started her career as an Audit Article Clerk and worked through the ranks to Partner at Mazars, where she was a founding member of the Business Sustainability Service Line, before joining Red Rocket.

Her directorial role is a trailblazing achievement for females in our Group, which aligns with her sense of purpose and a goal to inspire. Under her leadership, the team also drives financial planning and innovation processes which give a forward-looking function for the health and growth of our company.

Jean holds a Bachelor (Honours) of Accounting Science, and is a professional member of SAICA, registered as a CA(SA).
