ABOUT THE PLAY
“One Man, Two Guvnors” is based on the commedia dell’arte by Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni, “A Servant of Two Masters”, and tells the funny story of a desperate man’s attempt at serving two bosses (one of them a gang leader), and the challenge of keeping it a secret. While trying to prevent these two worlds from colliding, a hilarious story unfolds with a group of colourful characters. A key character hiding their true identity makes this a compelling, albeit funny story. The play became an international success and starred well-known UK comedian and actor James Corden when it premiered on stage in the UK in 2011.
